About the Committee:
On March 14, 2013, Xi Jinping assumed the position of President of the People’s Republic of China. In the eight years since, China has undoubtedly become a true global superpower. There are numerous domestic and international issues that China faces today, and in this committee, we will be examining and analyzing these issues from the perspective of China itself. As members of President Xi’s cabinet, delegates should be prepared to debate and discuss solutions to issues pertaining to pollution and the environment, economic policy (both domestic and international), and the Uyghur Muslim Genocide currently taking place in the Xinjiang province of China, and more. This small crisis committee designed for advanced delegates, meaning that the flow and pace of the committee will be much more dynamic and unpredictable. Expect to draft several directives, respond to various crises throughout the course of committee, and further your own ulterior motives through crisis notes.
