ABout the committee
Hello everyone! As you likely know, this year H-MUN VI will have a strong focus on the humanitarian crisis in Sudan. While we have pivoted this focus to the General Assembly Committee, DISEC, we will be taking a new outlook on a completely different subject. The Nixon Conspirators is an enthralling crisis committee centered around the Watergate Scandal.
In this committee, delegates of all ranges of experiences can learn and thrive in this exciting committee format. Delegates will be challenged to think out of the box while on the spot with new updates frequently occurring in committee. Throughout this committee, we will be discussing two main topics: the cover up operation of Watergate and maintaining republican power/dominance. We will engage in thorough debates about both topics and we hope to produce creative solutions to the issues at hand.
We understand that not every position has been assigned yet, but please do not hesitate to read over background content and start general research for more information on the situation. For position papers, we ask that each delegate write one total position paper in the format of a black paper. For more details and guidance on the black paper please consult the background guide, website and the delegate guide that is found on the website. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out via email to the chairs and crisis directors with any questions, concerns or comments! We look forward to meeting everybody and to having an excellent committee!
Sincerely,
Sophia Szymanski, Will Anderson, and Walter Waverley
