These policies will be updated as we move to a virtual conference
RefundsDelegates may request up to a 100% refund for cancellations within one week of registering. Delegates may request up to a 50% refund for cancellations following that period, but before June 1. Cancellations following June 1 are non-refundable.
Any fees not refunded will be donated entirely to the World Food Programme to aid victims of the crises plaguing the Sahel region in Africa. Note: H-MUN is working to update our refund policy in light of concerns surrounding COVID-19. AwardsWhile Model UN is not a competition, at H-MUN, we like to award those that demonstrate exemplary behavior both outside of and during the conference.
Awards are determined based on an assessment in 4 different areas: Accuracy of Policy, Collaboration, Rhetorical (Speaking) Skill, and Substantive Development. For more information on the awards and the areas of assessment, please visit the Delegate Guide. |

TechnologyDelegates are encouraged to use their laptops during unmoderated caucuses, but not moderated caucuses (please note this is a change from last year). Phones may occasionally be used, but as a reminder, use of social media is prohibited as stipulated in the H-MUN Code of Conduct. Technology is an integral part of the H-MUN experience as all Working Papers and Draft Resolutions are drafted using technology. If any staff sees off-topic use of technology while in committee, the delegate will be given a warning and then on second violation be ineligible for an award.
Dress CodeProfessional clothing is required; Western Business Attire is preferable.
Business casual attire is acceptable (button-up shirt, slacks, khakis, blouse, skirts). Casual attire (track suit, joggers, jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, etc.) is prohibited. For full dress code policy, please visit the Delegate Guide. |
